Silke Lehmköster is Managing Director Fleet at Hapag-Lloyd. In her role, she oversees Fleet Management, Fleet Innovation & Technology, Fleet Analytics und Charter Fleet Management. With a focus on maintaining the highest operational standards, Silke is leading efforts toward the decarbonization of the fleet as part of Hapag-Lloyd’s climate-neutral goals for 2045.
Her maritime career began in 2005 as a deck cadet, leading to roles as Nautical Watch Officer, Chief Officer and Master — becoming one of Hapag-Lloyd’s first female captains. In 2020, she moved ashore to take on senior leadership positions in Marine Human Resources and Fleet Management, where she has led innovative shipping vessel projects and technical transformations.
