“Queijadinha reminds me of my childhood.”
by Soraia Lima, who works in the Accounts Receivable Department in Santos, Brazil

A beloved Latin American dessert full of flavor, comfort and nolstagia.
For Soraia Lima, Queijadinha is more than just dessert – it is a sweet memory of home and her childhood. This classic sweet has its roots in Portugal but was reimagined in Brazil with local flavors. The Brazilian Queijadinha blends the tropical richness of coconut with the sweetness of condensed milk and the unexpected savoriness of Parmesan cheese. Easy to prepare and ready in just twenty minutes, this dessert requires only a handful of ingredients to create something delicious. It tastes best if you wait for it to slightly cool down after baking. Simple yet indulgent, it’s the kind of treat that keeps you reaching for another bite.

Dessert
Preparation time: 20 min

Ingredients:
- 2 egg yolks
- 65g of grated coconut
- 60 ml water
- 1 can of condensed milk (395 grams)
- 40 grams grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp butter
Preparation:
Preheat your oven to 180°C.
In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients. Stir well until the mixture is smooth and uniform.
Grease a glass baking dish lightly with butter or oil, then pour the mixture into it.
Prepare a water bath by placing the baking dish inside a larger, oven-safe pan. Fill the outer pan with hot water until it reaches about halfway up the sides of the baking dish.
Transfer everything to the oven and bake at 180°C for about 40–50 minutes, or until the mixture is firm and a knife inserted in the center comes out clean.
Once baked, carefully remove the dish from the water bath and let it cool at room temperature. For best results, allow it to chill in the refrigerator for at least one hour before serving. Enjoy!
